Call for applications: Research Assistant: Digital transformation and security of operations and supply networks (fixed term)

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant position in the School of Management at the University of Bath.

Background:

The Digital Security by Design Social Science (Discribe) Hub+ provides social science support to the UK’s Digital Security by Design (DSbD) programme.

DSbD aims to transform digital infrastructure by implementing technologies such as CHERI at the core of the infrastructure.  CHERI (Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instructions) takes a novel approach to systems security that re-examines and re-designs fundamental concepts and building blocks of hardware and software systems with a strong focus on security and enabling development of secure systems.

The post is part of a larger investment focusing on interdisciplinary research relating to cybersecurity from a social scientific, operations and economic perspective.

About the role:

The ideal applicant will be familiar with a variety of methodologies and have an interest in digital transformation, security of operations and supply networks, plus a willingness to work with the wider team from different disciplinary backgrounds.

As an integral part of the Discribe team, the research assistant will support the work of our expert fellow Prof. Brandon-Jones in helping to understand, predict and support the adoption of new secure technology across organisations and their supply networks.

Starting from £27,929
